"You" refers to the individual accessing our services or making travel service bookings through us.
3. Booking Terms
3.1 Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with MJD Travels, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the applicable rules and restrictions of the selected Travel Provider. These rules and restrictions will be presented to you before you finalize your booking and are considered part of these Terms.
3.2 Rules and Restrictions
In addition to these Terms, your booking is subject to the Travel Provider’s specific terms and conditions—referred to collectively as "Rules and Restrictions." These may include, but are not limited to, payment obligations, refund policies, penalties, usage limitations, and availability constraints.
Failure to follow a Travel Provider’s Rules and Restrictions may lead to:
Cancellation of your booking
Denial of access to the relevant travel service.
Forfeiture of any amounts already paid.
Liability for any costs incurred by MJD Travels or the Travel Provider due to your noncompliance.
It is your responsibilityto review and understand the Travel Provider’s Rules and Restrictions prior to completing your booking
4. Refund Policy
4.1 Booking Deposits
Deposits are fully refundable if cancellations are made 90 days or more before the scheduled departure date, unless specified as non-refundable.
Non-refundable bookings will be clearly disclosed at the time of booking.
4.2 Non-Refundable Services
Some travel services, such as certain airline tickets or hotel accommodations, are explicitly nonrefundable. Refund requests for such services will not be processed unless permitted by the Travel Provider.
4.3 Refund Requests Within 90 Days
Refunds requested within 90 days of departure will depend on the policies of the Travel Provider, which may include partial refunds or penalties.
4.4 Changes or Cancellations by MJD Travels
In the rare event MJD Travels cancels or alters a booking, we will provide suitable alternatives or full refunds for the affected portion of your booking.
4.5 Force Majeure
Refunds or credits for disruptions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics) will be determined by the policies of the Travel Provider.
5. Refund Process and Fees
5.1 Steps to Request a Refund
Email Info@mjdtravels.com with your booking reference number and a detailed explanation of your cancellation.
Provide supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificates) where applicable.
5.2 Processing Timeline
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days upon receipt of complete documentation. Delays caused by Travel Providers do not affect MJD Travels’ administrative timeline.
5.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. For payments processed through third-party providers, additional time may be required
5.4 Post-Ticketing Service Fees
Refunds, changes, and cancellations may incur Post-Ticketing Service Fees in addition to any penalties imposed by Travel Providers.
Standard Service Fees:
Agent-Assisted Cancellations (Within 24 Hours)
Domestic Travel: $25
International Travel: $35
Business/First Class: $50
Agent-Assisted Cancellations (After 24 Hours)
Domestic Economy: $100
International Economy: $200
Business/First Class: $200
Changes or Modifications
Fees for ticket reissues, name corrections, or special requests are determined on a caseby-case basis, starting at $40 per ticket.
All Post-Ticketing Service Fees are non-refundable, even if the Travel Provider denies the refund or change request.
5.5 Additional Airline or Provider Fees
MJD Travels’ fees are independent of any charges imposed by the airline or Travel Provider, such as fare differences, cancellation penalties, or additional taxes.
6. Special Considerations
Credits Instead of Refunds:Where refunds are not possible, travel credits may be issued, subject to the Travel Provider’s terms and expiration policies.
No-Show Policy:Failure to cancel prior to the Travel Provider’s specified deadline will result in forfeiture of refund eligibility.
Non-Refundable Tickets:Tickets marked as non-refundable are eligible for refunds only if explicitly permitted by the Travel Provider’s fare rules.
7. Additional Costs and Responsibilities
Exchange Rates and Foreign Fees:Currency exchange rates and international transaction fees are determined by your bank or card issuer. MJD Travels is not responsible for variations in amounts due to currency fluctuations.
Documentation Requirements:Customers must ensure they have valid travel documentation, including passports, visas, and other necessary permits. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations caused by insufficient documentation.
